Rockies Win Third Straight Over Mets, 6-4

Led by Nolan Arenado's big day at the plate and Kyle Freeland's solid effort on the hill, the Colorado Rockies made it three straight wins over the New York Mets, 6-4 on Thursday at Coors Field.

Arenado blasted a three-run home run in the first inning and then added a two-run double in the second to help the Rockies build an early 5-1 lead.

Arenado finished 2-for-5 with five RBIs and a run scored.

Left-hander Kyle Freelend went six innings and allowed two runs on five hits with four walks and four strikeouts. He picked up the win to get his record to 7-6.
