Cleveland Browns QB Baker Mayfield is having a tough season but HC Kevin Stefanski has his back. He is sticking with the young, controversial QB despite the mounting criticism of his play on the field. Doug Gottlieb agrees with Stefanski’s stance, believing that it’s an all-or-nothing proposition in Cleveland. The moment Stefanski shows the slightest doubt, the players will know it, and Mayfield’s ability to lead that locker room will be finished.
Doug Gottlieb: “Baker Mayfield is not playing good football...(but) you cannot take him out. Because, what it does is, it kills his ability to lead...Kevin Stefanski is absolutely, positively right. You’ve got to stick by your guy.”
