The Denver Broncos' long preseason is over.

And it ended on a good note.

The Broncos handled the Arizona Cardinals, 20-7, on Thursday night at Broncos Stadium at Mile High.

With the frontline players sitting the game out, starting quarterback Kevin Hogan led the Broncos to a 10-0 lead at halftime.

After Trey Marshall recovered a fumble at the Broncos 22 yard line in the second quarter, Hogan engineered a 13 play, 78 yard drive that took 7:02 and resulted in a six-yard touchdown pass to Fred Brown with 9:18 remaining in the second quarter.

Brett Rypien took over at quarterback in the second half and also put together one touchdown drive, a four-play, 75 yard march capped by Devontae Jackson's two-yard run with 5:59 left in the third.
