Sunday, the Denver Broncos took a punch to the gut.

Eddy Pineiro kicked a 53-yard field goal on the last play of the game to cap a wild fourth quarter and give the Chicago Bears a 16-14 win over the Denver Broncos.

The Broncos had taken the lead on Joe Flacco's seven-yard touchdown pass to Emmanuel Sanders and the subsequent two-point conversion pass from Flacco to Sanders with 31 seconds left.

On the Bears ensuing drive, Broncos linebacker Bradley Chubb was called to roughing the passer when he landed on Bears quarterback Mitchell Trubusky. later, Trubisky completed a 35-yard pass to Allen Robinson to the Broncos 35-yard line as the clock showed no time left.

The officials ruled the Bears called timeout with one second remaining to set up Pineiro's field goal try.

Flacco completed 35-of-50 passes for 292 yards with one touchdown and one interception. Sanders caught 11 passes for 98 yards and the score.
