Jets Firing Robert Saleh Should Not Be a Surprise

Doug Gottlieb: "I think this was the Jets not postponing the reality, which was that they had to move on from Robert Saleh. I don't think there's any question that Aaron Rodgers thought he didn't know what the hell he was doing. There's always been, and going to be, a rift with the team if you have a coach talking about a quarterback, and a quarterback openly and wildly disagreeing with a coach in the media in the public. So they ask some of the defensive guys, and they ask Saleh about his defensive guys, and it's a completely different vibe over there. Now he's out of a job. Can't say I didn't see it coming."

Doug Gottlieb reacts to the Jets firing HC Robert Saleh. Doug explains why the writing has been on the wall for Saleh ever since stories about issues in the locker room started to go public, whether it be from play-calling disagreements to interpersonal tensions.
